-Contestants cannot vote on any battles where they are involved

Registration Deadline
The deadline for registrations is September 5, 2008 because we can't keep waiting forever. It is first come, first serve, and you must have a partner to be an official contestant in the tournament.

Battle Date
-The first announcement will be made on September 6, 2008 right after the registration.

Battle Rules
-Each person spits up to 10 lines maximum (total of 20 maximum lines) then the other team goes
-During the final round, each person is allowed up to 15 lines
-Pretty much everything goes, and the public is the judge
-Judged based on punch lines, wordplay/rhyming, flow, consistency, humor, etc.

I was thinking of two/four judges, and the third/fifth judge be the audience (contestants).
That way, if there is a 1-1 or 2-2 tie, the audience can decide. :p

Also, if you have a partner already, have them post as well and both should state who their partner is... or do you guys want it 1on1?

One way you can run it is.... Have the first round be 1-on-1 or 2-on-2, then for the rest of the rounds just switch it to the other. That's how some singing competitions that I've seen are run.

I was planning on partners for the entire run, so there actually would be a winning partner, or we could have the winning partners go against each other in the finals.

I still need prizes, time, and contestants to reach 8 (4 partners) or 16 (8 partners) with rules...
