This is a QUICK review of the album, I'm sure someone with time will review this back to front properly for you guys. But here's my insight.
One of the best albums in the last couple of years, Rae really shines on this album, WU is back and they're back raw, gritty and dope as fuck.
One of the best contributions to this album was Ghostface Killah, he was raw on the original and this is no different. His energy on every track contrasts nicely to the laid back schemes of Rae forreal, and delivers memorable quotes which make anybody like..Damn, Ghost, you that nigga.
Production wise its almost perfect, the beats on this album are all consistently dope, it's not what you'd always find in an album, but the variety of producers on this made it what it is. Noteable names: Alchemist, J DILLA, RZE, Dr. DRE, Marley Marl, Pete Rock, just to name a few.
Is this better than OBFCL1? No, its not, that was a masterpiece, and for its generation it's untouchable, but this album comes as close as any album can get to reaching the greatness of the original. I don't usually hype shit up like this, maybe because I havent heard decent hip hop for so long, maybe because Ghost was on it, maybe because WU need to come back, I just feel this is a refreshing album, MUST BUY
Now theres mad tracks, around 24 including the Bonus ones I got, so reviewing track by track isnt healthy, but heres my stand out tracks.
#House of Flying Daggers" (feat. Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, Method Man & GZA - DOPE!
Holy shit, classic Wu anthem right here. One of the tracks I've been bumping on a regular. Everybody comes lyrically great, theres not much point talking about lyrical quality on a Rae/Wu track or album for that matter, we know what it is. Hard strings in the beat, real angry beat, the type to make you go in a club and swing around like King Kong, real hard body shit. Noteable verse is from GhostFace Killah, who happens to be in my top 3 artists of all time, may be a bit biased but here's a quotable:

#Cold Outside (feat. Ghostface Killah & Suga Bang Bang)
Great track, dope trumpets, it's like a damn western stand off, on some Kill Bill shit. Rae comes raw as fuck on this In my opinion, one of my favorite verses, hard. Another reason for being my favorite is Ghostface's contribution, raw shit, his swag is too tough to compete with on this album, "Who the fuck made christmas up i'm broke it dont make sense".
# "Gihad" (feat. Ghostface Killah) - DOPE!
One of the most memorable tracks, produced by NECRO. This was leaked a LONG time ago but is still raw as hell. Ghostface delivers a humorous verse about an altercation getting his dick sucked by somebody else's whore. Amazing beat.
"Go to the store and get me a forty before I smack the shit at you man..
Put some balogne on your face nigga
I don't give a fuck if you 21 you my son nigga"- Damn Ghost.
# "New Wu" (feat. Ghostface Killah & Method Man DOPE
Produced by RZA, Meth on the hook, ILL TRACK. One of the best on the album, typical Wu, bringing back Wu in style. Ill beat. Rae comes ill on this, "move like 91 romans.." check his shit it's dope.
Ghostface, you know what I'm gonna say, Dope as hell. Probably my favorite verse of his on the Album. Too ruthless.
"bullet proof tux its knuckle games, klobbering busters, 18 niggas is bringing the ruckus/ flamethrowers on our backs n shoulders/ the rusty joints they work the tre8 will blow one in your doujas"
"ya'll planet of the apes standing next to king kongg"
Meth, I love his flow, comes with it on this, he had to. Raw flow stands out on this track forreal, glad he was on it! Whole verse was dope.
# "Penitentiary" (feat. Ghostface Killah)
Great track, it's one of those back to back songs, rae n face go back to back spittin, "GET FED LEAD BURGERS".
# "Broken Safety" (feat. Jadakiss & Styles P) - DOPE!
Non Wu but still do what they do. Jada n Styles come with the heat, this is a track to make you speed on the highway or just break someone in the face. The beat goes TOO HARD. Fuckk..
# "10 Bricks" (feat. Cappadonna & Ghostface Killah) J Dilla - DOPE!
Rae's flow again is furious on this, lyrically the typical ill shit. "She threw the rifle in her mouth and said good evening"
Cappadonna, glad he was on this album, he comes through nice aswell, I mean theres not much to say about lyrics with the Wu mayn, he got that shit.
Ghostface, nothing to say, just dope.
#"Kiss the Ring" (feat. Inspectah Deck & Masta Killa)- DOPE
One of my personal favorites, the beat does it for me, some dope shit. I can't explain it. It's just raw.
