Best all-around rapper:
Toss up between Jay-Z and Nas. No love for Eminem tho? Last I checked he was still alive. |

Eminem was between 2002 and 2006 the best rapper alive... if he comes with an album like Encore then he could be again the best rapper again.
Right now I'm not very sure: Tech N9ne could be, Chamillionaire also, Busta Rhymes or Krayzie Bone.

No disrespect, I'm a big fan of Busta Rhymes and Chamillionaire, but lately they've been slacking. Check out Pep Love

Chamillionaire? No way...best rapper alive has got to be either Eminem or Nas. Can't wait for Em's new album, 'The Relapse.' he has a new track/freestyle, you can youtube it as 'eminem relapse freestyle' .. he uses a weird voice in it but the rhymes are sick.

if he comes with an album like Encore again.. Encore was awful. Marshall Mathers LP was his best work to date. Eminem show was decent, but encore was terrible.

^^^Encore wasn't really all that bad. It had some great tracks like:
Yellow Brick Road Like Toy Soldiers Mockingbird Those three alone are enough to make almost any album worth listening to. |

Honestly Nas, Jay Z & Andre 3000 are you well rounded rappers. They get respect based off there lyrics alone. You can talk about these guys and not have to reference their albums but just their guest verses. Even Scarface. They are easily the best at it.

Wayne is the most overrated rapper in hip hop history. even though he comes out with a song every hour his lyrics are garbage now. he was good when the carter 2 came out and that was his only good album. I personally like The gza from wu tang.

Lyrics Rhymes Story Imagery Metaphors Emotion I'm sorry, but Lil' Wayne doesn't even have half of those things half of the time. For the most part he's just glorifying himself or saying shit that doesn't have anything to do with anything. In my opinion, anybody can do that on a million songs. |

Eminem may not come out with another album, word is he retired to being a producer,
Lil wayne has good tracks but needs work, hes not the best rapper alive, in my opinion, eminem could crush lil wayne with 4-5 bars, but i highly respect wayne, but i think Jay-Z is THe best rapper alive. |
