right now id say kanye. dudes beats are crazy, hes changin the game in his own way like dre did IMO. seems like whatever he does (beatwise) is dope

The Kon artist from d12 is the best da dudes beats are CRAZY.you should listen to RAKIM-R.A.K.I.M. kon artist made the beat for it.its crazy SHIT.

No love for Mannie Fresh? Of course I am a little biased and most up north people probably don't care much for him. But I like how he includes a lot of brass sounds with the snares and a few other sounds that he puts together. He's pretty creative and had a great run for a while.
I also like Storch and of course Dre. Dre is a monster.
