what i always do is take the raw recording and first
1.Put it through the dynamic processor (compressor) in the Effects->Amplitude section for rough recordings i usually set it- At the curve = -20db and at the tip between -10 to -20 dB 2. Equalization - I use (in the Effects->Filters section) the graphic equalizer. 10 band is probably the easiest but 20 band can give you more control over the mix it depends on your skill level of picking out what frequencies you want to boost or cut. (below 60Hz is usually mud above 16Khz is usually high pitched S sounds so i usually cut it quite a bit. 3. Slight reverb - this one is more optional and depends on your taste of the track but depending on which reverb you use heres a tip on figuring out pre delay times and delay times to make your reverb sync with the track divide 60 000 by the BPM of the song your doing and it will give you a quarter note and continue dividing the outcome by 2 to get shorter times EX: 60 000/95BPM = Quarter Note= 631 = 8th Note = 315 = 16th Note = 157 = 32nd Note = 79 -->Pre-Delay Times = 64th Note = 39 = 128th Note = 19 The last 2 times are what you would want to use for your Pre Delay times and your Reverb Times And if you want after all of that you can throw on a little amplification or Normalization hope I helped |

Not familiar with AA, but I'm sure there is a pitch shift effect somewhere in there. Use that. Don't overdue it obviously. It'll probably have "semi-tone" and "cents" controls. Use the "cents" control and pitch down until you get to where you want to be. You could then use reverb to add some ethereal space to it, but keep in mind, the more verb is added (The more "wet" you make it) the more you'll push the vocal back in the mix. As a general rule, the sparser the mix the more reverb you can get away with. The more busy a mix is, the less you can get away with.

i know i may be late but i think this method is very good
using pitch shifting copy your vocal track to 3 different channels and use different pitch shift for each and everyone. and also delay every track with some mili seconds so that they won't sound together! very good effect! pitch down that is obviosly
